Nashville Flood: A Cry for Help

My city…it’s crying out for help. I awoke to wide-spread destruction and the water level was still rising. Last night while channel surfing, I was appalled to discover that no national news teams were covering what’s happening here in Nashville. The devastation is vast and we are in dire need of supplies, volunteers and donations. Many here are without power. There is a water shortage. If you’re on Twitter and would to to stay updated the hashtags are #TheSaturation2010  #NashvilleFlood  #OtherSituation2010  and  #Nashville. Follow @nashvillest and @WKRN for up-to-the-minute info. You can show your support by adding a twibbon.

Even in this dark moment, I am proud. To see the love and caring that’s going on is very encouraging. Many have opened their homes to those who have suffered loss.

Please provide any support you can. Click the links below to find out how you can help. Spread the word.

Flooding in Nashville

My goodness. Nashville is in the middle of some serious storms. Widespread flooding, tornadoes and high winds are expecting to continue through the night. The death toll is up to 5 people now. I’ve put together a few photos and vids below so you can see what’s going on. Everybody be safe, and for God’s sake, stay off the roads!
