Shakespear & Music: A Tuesday to Remember

Last night my wonderful boyfriend surprised me to an evening out. We dropped by Centennial Park for a free summer series concert provided by the wonderful Nashville Symphony. They actually do quite a few free performances, you can view the schedule at the symphony website. Of course, being at the park it’s an outdoor adventure. It’s also family friendly. But if I may for just a moment speak briefly about that fact. “Family Friendly” does NOT mean you can park your entire family behind people and talk loudly the whole performance. Some people just don’t know how to behave. We had to move mid concert because some large group sat behind us and started jabbering away during “Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture” (one of my favorites btw). And it wasn’t the kids…it was the adults being loud and obnoxious. Just because something is free doesn’t mean you take it for granted. Ok I’m done now. But, dumb people aside, you should really check out some of their free events; or even grab some tickets since they really arn’t that much money.
